Lauren was from the very beginning so easy to communicate with. If she is busy with couples or travels she will tell you with a short message but always get back to me, such a nice comparison to some of the other vendors. Many weddings I've been in, family or groomsman would be groaning about all of the photos they would have to take but she was so fun and professional the time flew by! My husband's one liner assessment of Lauren is that she is a "ray of sunshine" which is such a pleasant addition to such an important day. We were very happy with how the photos turned out. A walk on the beach.
My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of shooting with Lauren in Hawaii for our engagement photos. I am by no means a natural in front of the camera, but Lauren posed us perfectly and gave all sorts of tips to make me feel confident. We laughed the entire time, and it was a moment I will forever cherish. Not only was it the most fun, but the pictures were STUNNING. She was able to adapt to Hawaii weather and lighting so quickly to get perfect shots of us. Lauren has an amazing personality and a fantastic work ethic. For elopements and intimate weddings, I require a non-refundable 50% deposit to hold your date when we first book, then the remaining 50% is due one month prior to your big day. For a session, I require a non-refundable 50% deposit at the time of booking to hold your date then the remaining amount is due one week before your shoot date.
How do payment schedules work?
I include all of my travel fees in my packages so you don't have to worry about managing these costs separately. It's all the same, and only depends on where I'm headed! I account for the bare minimum - flight, transportation, stay - and then I cover the rest (all my extra Starbucks coffee trips ;))
How do travel fees work?
UH YES!! I have PDFs I'll send you for what to wear, help you create an itinerary for your photoshoot, elopement experience, or wedding day, brainstorm ways to add meaning to your day, and give you tips and tricks to help you get the best out of your photos! I planned my own wedding in 2 months by myself... I know... I'm crazy.
Will you help me plan and find vendors?
I am currently based out of Upstate NY, near Watertown. I am always down to adventure with you and your hunny! I am open to traveling state-wide and internationally as long as borders are open. Where are you based out of? Do you travel?
FAQs
If you've already booked your session/event date and for some reason have to cancel or reschedule your wedding or shoot, the retainer fee is non-refundable. In some situations, I may be able to move your date but it is not guaranteed. My equipment is weather-sealed and my rain jacket is ready, so I’m happy to help you figure out the additional challenges of unexpected weather. Sometimes the best photos come from unexpected weather!
What if you need to reschedule? What if the weather is bad?
If something were to happen to me and I couldn't be there on your wedding day, I will personally find a replacement day-of-photographer that I completely trust and whose work you will love. They will shoot on the day but I will still edit the images so you still receive my look and style of photography.
What happens if I get sick or injured and can't take your photos?
I will never provide RAW images. Part of the reason you hire me is for my editing style! Let me work my MAGIC! If you post any of our photographs on Instagram, I kindly ask that you tag me @laurensnaps.photography! I love seeing your favorites!
Do I give out RAW images?
I will always send sneak peeks within 24-48 hours! For the full album, on average, it will take me 3-6 weeks. A full elopement/wedding album will have around 500+ photographs. For a regular shoot, on average, you will receive 50-200 photographs depending on the length of the shoot, how many outfits you change, and how many locations we adventure to!
